Wim Wenders, The State of Things (1982)
The State of Things is a film recording 124 minutes in 1983. It is a black and white movie. The process of this film although associate with the actor but it more likely a narrative story. It is quite, different and similar of our live. It also showed the reality of the industry of film maker. It is rare in the era of this film. This story did not have strong stories, but filled with a subtle atmosphere of suspense reasoning. Therefore it got the award and still attracting people to watch this film. It’s describe that the a film crew here remake of Roger Coleman's masterpiece " The Survivors", a new version of the film during the shoot, but encountered a variety of difficulties. The director have no reason there is lack of source for funding, therefore the film faces the fate of forced to shoot. The director tried to contact the producer in
Los Angeles, so that he can have an explanation for all the staff. Then, he found the producer hide in a mobile home because he owed money of the Mafia. In the end, they all died under the Mafia. It is a medium specific of film. It showed the life of film marker. I think the center of this film is not the story how attractive as the traditional American film, but the thinking, the finding or meaning of life and so on. It can lead the audience repeatedly to think. It is also the reason why choose this work after i read lots of works.
